Three EMU tennis players receive CSC academic all-district honors

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District honors for tennis on May 19. Three members of Eastern Michigan University’s program received recognition: Sabina Brichackova, Marta Komar, and Prerna Vichare. To qualify for this award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and have participated in at least 70 percent of their team’s competitions during the dual season.

Sabina Brichackova from Cheb, Czechia concluded her collegiate career with an 11-11 record in singles play and an 18-9 record in doubles. She finished as runner-up at the 2024 MAC Individual Championships alongside partner Prerna Vichare. Brichackova’s performance at No. 1 doubles resulted in an 11-3 record for the year, including a 6-1 mark against MAC opponents. Her career total reached 62 victories, placing her 16th in program history. Overall, she amassed 119 career wins.

Prerna Vichare from Mumbai, India was named to the All-MAC Second Team for the second time after previously earning this honor as a freshman in 2022. In her senior season, she achieved a singles record of 12-5 and excelled in doubles with a record of 17-7. Playing primarily at No.1 doubles, Vichare secured an impressive career total of 60 wins.

Marta Komar from Inowroclaw, Poland completed her final season with Eastern Michigan University after three years at Wayne State University. She recorded a total of 22 wins during the season with significant contributions to clinching points for her team both in singles and doubles matches.
