Eastern Michigan University's track and field programs have been recognized by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association for their academic achievements during the 2024-25 season. Both teams achieved a GPA above 3.00, with the women's team leading at 3.423 and the men's team at 3.176.
Five student-athletes from EMU received individual All-Academic awards: Jake McEachern, Gabe Singh, Kian Wiles, Saraiah Walkes, and Isabella Brent. The criteria for these honors included maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and meeting specific athletic performance standards.
Jake McEachern led the men's honorees with a 3.76 GPA and was ranked 34th in the east qualifying list for hammer throw with a mark of 63.63m (208-09). Gabe Singh recorded a GPA of 3.57 and ranked 25th in the east for the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.62 seconds. Kian Wiles had a GPA of 3.28 and was ranked 45th in the east region for the 1500m with a time of 3:40.73.
On the women's side, Isabella Brent achieved a GPA of 3.85 and was ranked 49th in the east region for hammer throw with a distance of 57.54m (188-09). Saraiah Walkes had a GPA of 3.50, ranking her as high as second in MAC events including first place finishes at MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Both teams' athletes qualified to compete in the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships held from May 28 to May 31.
