The Eastern Michigan University swim and dive team has been recognized with the Team Scholar All-America Award for the 2025 spring semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). This marks the 24th time in the program's history that they have received this accolade.

To qualify for this award, teams needed to maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. The Eagles demonstrated strong academic performance with a cumulative GPA of 3.694 in the winter semester, including eight students achieving perfect 4.0 GPAs and all 32 athletes earning at least a 3.0 GPA.

This recognition follows previous individual honors for four student-athletes—Ciara Wheeler, Lucy Noble, Malia Maire, and Olivia Clarinowere—who were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District on April 1 due to their GPAs of at least 3.96. Additionally, on March 31, eighteen team members were awarded Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC recognition after participating in over half of the season's meets while maintaining at least a 3.20 GPA.

In Division I standings among women's programs, University of Miami (FL) led with a GPA of 3.89. In Division II, Catawba College and Lynn University tied for top honors with GPAs of 3.87 each, while Colorado College and Vassar College shared top positions in Division III with a GPA of 3.88 each.

Samantha Barany, Executive Director of CSCAA, commented on these achievements: "These teams exemplify what it means to be true student-athletes. Their dedication to academic excellence alongside their athletic commitments is both impressive and inspiring."

The CSCAA was established in 1922 as the first organization for college coaches focused on advancing swimming and diving through leadership and professional development.
