Eastern Michigan University's track and field programs have achieved notable academic recognition, with 26 student-athletes named to the Mid-American Conference's Academic All-MAC list for the 2025 outdoor season. This announcement was made by the conference office on June 27.
The women's team contributed 15 student-athletes to the list, while the men's team added 11 members. Across the conference, a total of 238 student-athletes were honored.
The Academic All-MAC award recognizes those who excel both athletically and academically. Eligibility requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 and participation in at least half of the sport's contests.
In women's track and field, Kent State and Miami led with 20 honorees each. Bowling Green followed closely with 19 selections, while Central Michigan had 18 student-athletes recognized.
From Eastern Michigan's women's team, recipients include Sophie Emin (Easton, Pa./Easton Area/Rutgers), Kiera Hansen (Freeland, Mich./Freeland), Chloie Musta (Mesick, Mich./Cadillac), Mariia Yelanska (Dnipro, Ukraine), Anita Zaro (Timisoara, Romania/Faculty of Physical Education and Sport), Isabella Brent (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child), Kyra Buffen (Columbus, Ga./Buford/Benedict), Natalie Buratczuk (Saint Charles, Ill./Saint Charles North), Tijana Japundzic (Belgrade, Serbia/Technical School "New Belgrade"), Aleah Johnson (Botkins, Ohio/Botkins), Eva Orlich (San José, Costa Rica/IEM Bilingual), Megan Rybitski (Dayton, Ohio/Wayne), Julia Sabo (Luckey, Ohio/Eastwood), Maleah Scott (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) and Saraiah Walkes (Manatee County, Fla./The-Out-of-Door-Academy).
On the men's side of track and field at Eastern Michigan University: Miami topped this year's list with 19 honorees; Kent State had 18; Eastern Michigan added its own impressive count of eleven.
Eastern Michigan's male athletes honored are Ronan Codyre from Auckland New Zealand attending Maclean’s College; Lachlan Cornelius from Brisbane Australia attending Anglican Church Grammar School; Ty Dailey hailing from Phoenix Maryland attending Dulaney High School; Carson McCoy representing Pittsburgh Pennsylvania studying at Deer Lakes High School alongside Kian Wiles coming over all way Hull England after completing studies St Mary’s College among others including Cason Doolittle Findlay Ohio Liberty Benton graduate Brendan Hill Wayne OH Huber Heights product Drew Knieper Lake Orion MI/Hope alum Jake McEachern Lloydminster Alberta Comprehensive Tajay Roberts Sunrise FL/Dillard HS Gabe Singh Toledo OH/Sylvania Northview Oakland U transfer
