Although the 2024-25 collegiate season has concluded, Eastern Michigan University's men's golf team continues to compete internationally this summer. The Eagles are participating in various events worldwide, refining their skills before returning to campus at the end of August.
Four members of the team recently participated in the St. Andrews Links Trophy event held from June 5-8 at the Old Course and New Course (Jubilee) in Fife, Scotland. This tournament, hosted at St. Andrews—known as the "Home of Golf"—has been a fixture since 1989 and features players from across the globe.
The results for Eastern Michigan players were as follows: Tim Chan from Hong Kong tied for ninth place with scores of 72, 67, 67, and 72, totaling a score of 287 (-10). Joshua Hess from Switzerland tied for thirtieth with rounds of 69, 73, 74, and 67, finishing at 283 (-5). Leandro Mihaich from Argentina missed the cut with scores of 72 and 71 for a total of 143 (-1), while Charlie Box from England also missed the cut with rounds of 81 and 70 totaling 151 (+7).
