Josh Brewer, the head coach of Eastern Michigan University's women's golf program, has announced the addition of twin sisters Janae and Jasmine Leovao to the team's 2025-26 roster. The twins are transferring from Long Beach State University for their final collegiate season.
"Today is an amazing day for Eastern Michigan Women's Golf and the Leovao family," Brewer stated. "We're excited to have Janae and Jasmine as a part of our program and join each other's family."
Jasmine Leovao was a standout player at Long Beach State, competing in NCAA Regionals for three consecutive years. She tied for eighth at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional and was the second-highest individual finisher not on a qualifying team. She has been a two-time Big West Conference Champion and improved her collegiate ranking significantly over the past year.
"Jasmine is a two-time Big West champion who owns many records during her three years at The Beach," Brewer said.
Janae Leovao also had a successful career at Long Beach State, finishing 17th at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional in her most recent season. She has shown consistent improvement in her rankings and has been recognized for her performance on both college and junior circuits.
"Janae's trajectory up the college and amateur golf rankings is a testament to her work ethic and belief in herself," Brewer stated.
The addition of the Leovao sisters brings six new players to Eastern Michigan's roster for the upcoming season, including other transfers and incoming freshmen from Thailand and Italy.
