Eastern Michigan University's track and field teams delivered impressive performances at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in Athens, Ohio. Senior sprinter Saraiah Walkes was named Most Valuable Performer after scoring 38 points. The women's team secured second place with 115 points, while the men's team finished third with 156 points.

Walkes became the program's 13th most valuable performer and the first since Alsu Bogdanova in 2018. She achieved victories in three events: the 100m, 200m, and 4x400m relay, alongside a second-place finish in the 4x100m relay.

Bowling Green won the women's title with 130 points, followed by Eastern Michigan and Kent State. Akron claimed victory on the men's side with a total of 187 points. Kent State took second place with a score of 167.25, while Eastern Michigan rounded out the top three.

Eastern Michigan athletes captured eight event championships across both teams during the competition's final day. The men clinched five gold medals, while the women earned three. This marked their respective streaks of finishing within the top three for consecutive years—13 for men and 12 for women.

The women's standout performance was led by Walkes' achievements in sprinting events. Her times included a personal best of 23.19 seconds in the 200m dash—the fastest time recorded by an Eagle since 1995—and an impressive finish of 11.55 seconds in the 100m dash.

In addition to her individual accomplishments, Walkes contributed significantly to relay events by anchoring both teams to notable finishes: first place in the women's championship-winning run (3:39.66) and leading off a second-place effort (44.78) that ranks as one of EMU's fastest ever times.
