The Mid-American Conference has released its 2025 lacrosse season awards, with five student-athletes from Eastern Michigan University earning accolades, a record number for the program. Mackenzie Blackwell was named the MAC Attacker of the Year, and Maddie Porter secured the MAC Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Alongside Blackwell and Porter, Annika Wozney was selected for the All-MAC First Team, while Emerson Henry made the All-MAC Second Team. Additionally, both Henry and freshman Katheryn Wilson were named to the MAC All-Freshman Team.
The Eagles shared the 2025 MAC Regular Season Championship with the University of Akron and Robert Morris University, garnering four all-conference honors, the most in the program's history. This achievement surpasses the three honors from the previous year. Notably, the three first-team selections are a new record, surpassing last year's tally.
Mackenzie Blackwell, from North Beach, Maryland, achieved a career milestone by becoming the first Eastern Michigan player to score over 50 goals in a single season, finishing with 59. Currently ranked 15th nationally for goals per game, she was also recognized as the MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week in early April.
Maddie Porter, hailing from Montrose, New York, made her first appearance on the All-MAC First Team after a standout season, setting a school record with 170 saves and leading the NCAA in ground balls. She has now surpassed 300 career saves and 100 ground balls in her collegiate tenure.
Newcomer Annika Wozney, from Elk River, Minnesota, received her first postseason recognition from the MAC by making the All-MAC First Team. Her efforts throughout the season, including a game against the University of Akron where she caused five turnovers, earned her this honor.
Rookie Emerson Henry, from Ashburn, Ontario, earned dual accolades being named to both the All-MAC Second Team and the MAC All-Freshman Team. She achieved 94 draw controls, tying a school record and ranking second in the MAC.
Katheryn Wilson made a noteworthy debut as one of the top free-position goal scorers in the conference. With significant contributions throughout her freshman season, she also earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Eastern Michigan will now head to the 2025 MAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed, facing off against the University of Akron on May 1, with all games broadcasted live on ESPN+.
