The Eastern Michigan University lacrosse team's season concluded with a defeat against the University of Akron in the semifinals of the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament. The match took place on May 1 at Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. The Eagles, who were the No. 2 seed, were beaten 16-4 by the No. 3 seed, the Akron Zips.

The game started with Akron taking an early two-goal lead before Emerson Henry, assisted by Katheryn Wilson, cut the deficit to one. Despite this, Akron scored three more goals to lead 5-1 at the end of the first quarter. Katheryn Wilson scored again at the start of the second quarter, assisted by Mackenzie Blackwell, reducing the gap to 5-2. However, Akron responded with eight consecutive goals, extending their lead to 9-2 by halftime and maintaining dominance into the third quarter. Emerson Henry managed to score once more before Akron added another goal, finishing the third quarter 14-3. In the final quarter, Wilson scored her second goal, assisted by Amber Alderman, but Akron secured the final score at 16-4.

Katheryn Wilson notably scored her first goals since a hat trick against Oregon on April 11 and finished with three points. Emerson Henry marked her sixth consecutive game with at least two goals, having scored in 13 of 17 games this season. Mackenzie Blackwell won nine draw controls, tying for the program’s ninth-highest single-game total for the fourth time in her career and finishing the season with 51 wins, the fifth-highest in single-season history. Maddie Porter set a school record with 179 saves this season, improving the previous record by 47 saves.

The Eagles ended their season with an 8-9 record, which stands as the most wins in a single season in program history. This marks the team's second appearance in the conference tournament semifinals, having lost to Robert Morris in 2024. Both the Eagles and Zips were part of a three-way tie with Robert Morris for the 2025 MAC Regular Season Championship.
