Eastern Michigan University's Trey Laing was selected in the 2025 Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft. Laing, a defensive lineman from Tallahassee, Florida, was picked 63rd overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers during the draft held on April 29.

Laing's college football career saw him playing for several institutions including the University of South Florida, East Mississippi Community College, Southern University, Indiana University, and eventually Eastern Michigan. In the previous season, he played in 12 games, securing 22 tackles, 5.5 tackles-for-loss, and 2.5 sacks. He was sidelined in 2023 due to an injury. His father, Tracy Laing, also has roots in Canadian football, having played for the Toronto Argonauts in the 1990s.

Since 1973, Eastern Michigan has had 21 players chosen in the CFL Draft, with eight being selected in the first round.
