The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) track and field teams competed in three different meets over a busy weekend, finishing with notable achievements. At the Wake Forest Invitational, held at Ketner Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, both at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Elaine Leigh Invite in Rochester, Michigan, the Eagles secured six Mid-American Conference (MAC)-leading marks.

Across these meets, EMU athletes achieved a total of eight top-three finishes, including two first-place results. The Eagles' teams collectively achieved twelve personal bests and nineteen outdoor season-best performances, with significant contributions from both men and women.

At the Wake Forest Invitational, EMU's Chloie Musta recorded a MAC-best 800m run with a personal record of 2:08.50, ranking her seventh in the program's history. Sofia Ivanko marked her outdoor season debut with a 35:13.83 in the 10,000m, ranking fourth in the MAC.

During the Georgia Tech Invitational, Saraiah Walkes placed second in the 100m dash with a season-best time of 11.61, marking the fastest time in the MAC and 11th in the Great Lakes Region. The women's 4x400m relay team also recorded a MAC-best time. Kyra Buffen excelled in the triple jump, while Micah Martin had a strong showing in the high jump.

At the Elaine Leigh Invite, Liv Hatch won the 3000m steeplechase, and several other Eagles performed well in the 800m run.

For the men's team at Wake Forest, Lachlan Cornelius finished third in the 800m with a MAC-best and personal-best time of 1:49.25. Additional strong performances included Ronan Codyre in the 5000m and Kian Wiles in the 1500m.

At Georgia Tech, the 4x400m relay squad achieved another MAC-best time, led by Olawole Olanrewaju and Bamidele Ajayi. They secured strong positions in the 400m dash as well. Michael Hawkins and Brendan Hill were notable in their respective hurdle and high jump events.

Eastern Michigan University track and field teams are scheduled to compete in the Hillsdale College Tune-Up next week.
