The upcoming weekend will mark the final home matches for the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) tennis team in the 2025 season. Matches are scheduled against Northern Illinois University (NIU) on April 11 and Bowling Green State University on April 13 at the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti. The Eagles hold a record of 9-11 overall and 2-5 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and aim to wrap up their home season on a positive note.

On Friday, April 11, EMU will face the NIU Huskies, who boast an impressive 20-4 overall record and 6-1 in the MAC. The day is part of the "Hats Off to You" event across EMU Athletics, which includes multiple sporting events and promotions for fans. The match against NIU begins at 1 p.m.

The final home match on Sunday, April 13, constitutes the Eagles' Senior Day, where the team will honor four senior members: Sabina Brichackova, Marta Komar, Lily Tria, and Prerna Vichare. The Eagles meet the Bowling Green State University Falcons, who are searching for their first conference win of the season with a record of 9-11 overall and 0-7 in the MAC.

A busy schedule has seen Eastern Michigan slip to a 2-5 conference record after consecutive road losses. However, the team has a strong home record of 8-2 this season under Coach Ryan Kucera, who looks to guide the Eagles back to the MAC Tournament.

Highlighting recent performances, Daniella Shved received recognition as the MAC Singles Player of the Week, and duo Sabina Brichackova and Prerna Vichare earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors for their success on the court.

The Eagles will conclude their regular season with an away match at Ball State University on April 18, with hopes to secure a spot in the forthcoming MAC Tournament.
