Eastern Michigan University has announced that four of its swimming and diving student-athletes have been honored as Academic All-District honorees by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The recognition was announced on April 1 for Ciara Wheeler, Lucy Noble, Malia Maire, and Olivia Clarino. This announcement highlights their dual achievements in both athletics and academics.

The Academic All-District Women's Swimming & Diving teams, determined by CSC, highlight student-athletes who have excelled in both their sport and studies. The honorees are part of the broader CSC Academic All-America program, which recognizes athletes from divisions such as NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA.

This achievement marks a first-time honor for all four students, increasing the total number of Eastern Michigan athletes recognized in this manner to 17. Olivia Clarino from Toronto and Lucy Noble from Flagler Beach, both boasting perfect 4.00 GPAs, stand out among their peers for their academic excellence.

The Academic All-District honorees are potential candidates for the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with those marked with an asterisk advancing to a national vote by CSC members. The results of the voting, including First-, Second-, and Third-team honorees, are scheduled to be disclosed on April 22, 2025.

CSC's Academic All-America program receives partial financial support from the NCAA Division II and III governance structures and is similarly supported by the NAIA for their respective programs.
