Caterina Don, an assistant golf coach at Eastern Michigan University, is gearing up for the 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur. This prestigious event will be held from April 2-5 in Augusta, Georgia, and attracts top amateur female golfers globally. The competition, now in its sixth year, will conclude on the renowned Augusta National course, known for hosting the Masters Tournament.

Excited about the upcoming event, Don shared her thoughts: "I am super excited for this amazing opportunity." Reflecting on her preparation, she added, "I haven't been preparing as I would have had while I was in college, but I have been able to get some reps in during the days off and in between practices with the Eagles."

The tournament will require Don to compete against 71 leading female amateur golfers, including 49 of the top 50 players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and three previous winners: Tsubasa Kajitani (2021), Anna Davis (2022), and Lottie Woad (2024). The field consists of 33 debut participants and 39 returning players. Don, a 2024 University of Georgia graduate and now under EMU Head Coach Josh Brewer, will have Brewer by her side as her caddie for this tournament.

Currently ranked 36th in the latest WAGR, Don will aim to reach the final round of the competition for the third time. The tournament will begin on April 2 at the Champions Retreat Golf Club, with the opening two rounds played on the Island and Bluff Courses. A practice round at Augusta National will take place on April 4, with the final round on April 5 for the top 30 competitors, including ties.

Television coverage will be provided by Golf Channel and NBC, offering live broadcasts in the early afternoon each day. Official pairings and tee times are expected to be announced on April 1 on ANWAgolf.com.
