Eastern Michigan University's baseball team secured a doubleheader win over Ohio University on March 29 at Bob Wren Stadium in Athens, Ohio. The victories marked EMU's third Mid-American Conference series win of the season, and the first series win in Athens since 2018. The series also sees the Eagles holding a 8-4 MAC play start, their best since 2017.

In the first game, EMU delivered a late rally to win 9-5. According to the team, "Eastern scored eight runs in the ninth inning for a comeback win, marking the second time it has accomplished the feat this season." Ty Stecko's performance included a two-run home run and a double, which helped secure the Eagles' lead. Pitcher Ethan Davis earned his third save of the year.

The second game showcased an offensive surge, with EMU eventually winning 18-13. "Eastern set a season high with 19 hits and tied a season best with 18 RBI," the team stated. John Hale achieved his NCAA Division I career-best with four hits and five RBI. Hugo confidently contributed with his seventh home run of the season, and Drew Norris claimed his second win after pitching 1.1 scoreless innings.

With these performances, EMU improved to 13-11 overall and 8-4 in MAC play. Ohio University fell to 7-19 overall and 4-9 in conference competition.

The team noted that their upcoming game against the Michigan Wolverines at Oestrike Stadium will be available on ESPN+ on April 1.
