Eastern Michigan University's baseball team, fresh off a victory against the University of Michigan, is set for a crucial Mid-American Conference (MAC) series against Ohio University. The games are scheduled from March 28 to 30 at Bob Wren Stadium in Athens, Ohio.

Eastern Michigan's team enters the series with a 6-3 record in the MAC, tied for third place, and a 11-10 record overall. They are experiencing their best conference start since 2017. Ohio University stands ninth in the conference with a 2-7 record.

Notably, Eastern Michigan secured a narrow 9-8 victory against Michigan on March 25, their first road win over a Power Four program since 2018 and their first road win against a Big Ten team since 2017. Head Coach Robbie Britt has led the team to multiple power conference wins in his two seasons.

In their latest win against Michigan, Eastern used ten pitchers, marking the most in a power conference win since 1999. Giano Zuccaro was pivotal, tying the game with a double and scoring the winning run on a passed ball.

Looking ahead, Eastern Michigan will play Michigan again on April 1, followed by a match against Notre Dame on April 2.
