The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the annual CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams. Among those recognized are three members from Eastern Michigan University: Mackenzie Amalia, Elena Cabello, and Olivia Westphal.

The Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams celebrate the nation's top student-athletes who excel both on the court and in academics. Eligibility requires a student-athlete to be a sophomore or higher, maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.50, and participate in at least 90% of games or start in 66% of them. In the current season, 436 NCAA Division I student-athletes were honored.

Mackenzie Amalia, originally from Beaver Falls, Pa., has been honored for the third consecutive year with three different schools. Before joining Eastern Michigan University (EMU), she was recognized at Robert Morris University and Canisius University. After transferring to EMU, Amalia started 20 of 21 games, leading in minutes played and ranking fifth nationally. Her performance includes a debut with 12 assists against Texas State University and a season-high of 19 points in a game against Central Michigan University.

Elena Cabello from Malaga, Spain, participated in all 29 games in the 2024-25 season, starting in 20. Averaging 17.4 minutes per game, she scored 3.5 points and was productive both offensively and defensively. A standout game included scoring a career-high 13 points against Ball State University.

Olivia Westphal from Bethel Park, Pa., started 28 games, excelling as the team's primary three-point shooter with 60 successful attempts this season. She averaged 30.6 minutes and 8.2 points per game. Westphal's contributions in three-pointers led to a significant team achievement in program history with 217 three-pointers in a single season.

For ongoing information about Eastern Michigan Athletics, updates will be available on EMUEagles.com and the team's social media platforms.
