The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's golf team is set to compete in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on March 17-18, 2025, at the University of Texas Golf Course in Austin. The event will feature a strong lineup of 14 teams, including seven ranked within the top 50 nationally. Notable participants include No. 2 Arkansas and host No. 7 Texas.

Head Coach Josh Brewer expressed optimism about the upcoming challenge: "We know it has been a busy stretch for us; however, when we reach our goal of playing in the (NCAA) National Championship, this will feel like a normal postseason stretch," he said. "We are headed to Austin to continue building our brand and creating a new normal. The field is challenging but we look forward to showing college golf that we are a program they must respect."

The EMU team comprises Savannah de Bock, Mariana Vega, Riley Kim, Angelica Holman, and Maddysun Beeching. De Bock has had an impressive season so far and was recently named MAC Golfer of the Week for the third time this year.

In preparation for this event, EMU has participated in several tournaments across different states from February through early March. During these competitions, they faced nine teams ranked in the top 50 and performed well against higher-ranked opponents.

The Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational honors Elizabeth 'Betsy' Rawls, who had a successful LPGA career with numerous victories including eight major championships. The tournament format consists of three rounds over two days on a par-72 course spanning 6,473 yards.

According to recent national rankings by Scoreboard/Clippd as of March 12th release date - out of all participating teams - EMU holds position number one hundred twenty-four overall while thirteen others rank within top one hundred twenty-five positions themselves; notably featuring four squads inside first fifty spots alone such as second-place Arkansas alongside seventh-ranked hosts themselves being respective institutions mentioned earlier above already previously stated priorly noted before now thus far mentioned here today altogether combined collectively together overall
