Eastern Michigan University's Savannah de Bock has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league on March 14. This marks her third such honor this season and follows her teammate Riley Kim's recognition last week.
De Bock, hailing from Ecaussinnes-d'Enghien, Belgium, delivered a strong performance at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Florida. She finished as the top individual for Eastern Michigan University (EMU), tying for sixth place with a score of 1-under 209. This result is her sixth top-10 finish of the season and ranks as the second-lowest score in EMU's program history. Her achievement contributed to EMU's sixth-place team finish against higher-ranked competitors.
The MAC honor ties de Bock with Kent State University's Veronika Kedronova for most awards this season, each having two outright honors after sharing one on September 27. With Kim's award last week, EMU and Kent State are tied for most honors earned by a single school this year. EMU is also noted as the first school to win back-to-back weekly awards this season.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will compete at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas from March 17-18. The event features a competitive field including seven teams ranked in the top 50.
