Eastern Michigan University's swimming team is preparing to compete in the 2025 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships. The event will take place at the F.A.S.T. Facility in Ocala, Florida, from March 13-15. Preliminaries are scheduled for 9:30 a.m., with finals starting at 6 p.m.
The Eagles have qualified eleven swimmers for the competition, following their performance at the Mid-American Conference Championships in New York last month. The team includes Sophie Gatrall, Morgan Hofmeister, Nina Larosa, Emma Littrell, Tristen Mina, Lucy Noble, Nehir Oz, Kiersten Russell, Siporah Sang, Abby Szadorski, and Azra Umut.
The swimmers will participate in various individual events. Morgan Hofmeister will compete in the 400-yard individual medley (IM), while Nina Larosa takes on the 50-yard and 100-yard breaststroke events. Tristen Mina is set for the 50-yard and 100-yard butterfly races. Nehir Oz will swim in the 400-yard IM and the 1000-yard freestyle. Kiersten Russell and Siporah Sang are entered in backstroke events; Russell also competes in both the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke. Abby Szadorski will swim three breaststroke distances: 50 yards, 100 yards, and 200 yards. Azra Umut is slated for the 500-yard freestyle.
Relay teams include members such as Emma Littrell, Lucy Noble, Sophie Gatrall, and Kiersten Russell for the freestyle relays. The medley relay features Sang, Larosa, Mina, and Noble.
Official results from each session will be available on the CSCAA website after each session concludes. Sessions can also be watched live on YouTube. A summary of performances will be posted on EMUEagles.com once the meet ends.
