Eastern Michigan University basketball players Jalen Terry and Da'Sean Nelson have been named to the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Second Team. This recognition comes from a vote by the conference's 12 head coaches, as announced on March 12.

Terry, from Flint, Michigan, and Nelson, hailing from Toledo, Ohio, both averaged 16.8 points per game during conference play. In overall scoring within the conference, Terry ranks second with an average of 16.5 points per game while Nelson is fourth with 16.0 points per game. Eastern Michigan will face Miami University on March 13 in Cleveland.

The duo stands out not only for their scoring but also for making Eastern Michigan the only team nationwide with multiple players averaging at least 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Nelson's averages include 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists along with defensive stats of 1.1 blocks and steals each per game; he is one of four players nationally meeting these criteria while playing less than 30 minutes per contest.

Terry leads the MAC with 85 made three-pointers this season and also contributes defensively with an average of 1.6 steals per game.

This achievement marks the first time since Brandon Bowdry and Carlos Medlock in the 2009-10 season that two Eastern Michigan players have been named to at least the All-MAC Second Team.

Additionally, Akron's John Groce was named Coach of the Year while Nate Johnson received both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors.
