Daniel Robles Delval led the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tournament took place from March 8-9, with teams facing challenging weather conditions on the par-72, 7,107-yard Outlaw Course at Desert Mountain Golf Club. Rain delayed the start by two hours on Saturday morning, and darkness halted play that night, necessitating completion of the second round before Sunday's final round.

Eastern Michigan tied for ninth place with the University of Kentucky and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), both finishing with a score of 19-over 883. EMU Head Coach Andy Walker previously coached VCU for three seasons. In the Mid-American Conference standings, Miami University placed eighth at 16-over 880, while Central Michigan University finished in 16th place at 87-over 951. Mississippi State University secured the team title with an impressive score of 11-under 853.

Individually, Robles Delval from Albacete, Spain, finished fifth overall with a score of 6-under 210. This performance matched his best previous score over a similar number of holes achieved during his time at Rogers State University. Notably, he outperformed six players ranked among the top 100 nationally according to Scoreboard/Clippd rankings.

Tim Chan from Hong Kong tied for 27th place with a score of 3-over 219. Rory McDonald-O'Brien from Shrewsbury, England tied for 46th at 10-over 226. Bavake Sihota from Caledon, Ontario scored an overall of 18-over 234 while James Baxter from London tied for 78th place at 21-over 237.

The Eagles are set to compete next in the Bell Bank 'Pay It Forward' Collegiate hosted by the University of Minnesota at Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona on March 24-25.
