Eastern Michigan University (EMU) has announced its 2025 football schedule, which includes a series of challenging non-conference and Mid-American Conference (MAC) matchups. The Eagles will face eight teams that qualified for bowl games in 2024, including all five Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) home opponents.
The season kicks off on Saturday, August 30, with a non-conference game against Texas State University. EMU's first home game is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, against Long Island University at Rynearson Stadium.
On Saturday, September 13, the team will travel to Lexington to play the University of Kentucky. This game offers EMU an opportunity to compete against a Southeastern Conference opponent. The non-conference schedule concludes on Saturday, September 20, when the University of Louisiana visits Ypsilanti.
Conference play begins on Saturday, September 27, with a road game at Central Michigan University. "The contest will mark the 103rd all-time meeting between EMU and CMU," according to EMUEagles.com. The Eagles' MAC campaign continues with games against Northern Illinois University and Miami University in October.
As November approaches, Eastern Michigan will have its first bye week on Saturday, November 1. Following this break, they return to action against Bowling Green State University on November 8 before traveling to Ball State University on November 15. The final home game is set for Tuesday, November 25, against Western Michigan University.
The season may conclude with an appearance in the MAC Football Championship on December 6 at Ford Field in Detroit.
