The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team achieved its best score of the season with a 195.775 during a home tri-meet on February 27 at the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The team competed against Western Michigan University and Wilberforce University.

Ella Chemotti from Canton, Michigan, and Abby Brushwood from State College, Pennsylvania, each won events with scores of 9.900. Chemotti excelled on the beam while Brushwood impressed on the floor exercise. Brushwood has consistently scored 9.800 or higher in her last six meets on floor, achieving 9.850 or higher in five of those instances.

Raisa Boris from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, recorded a season-best all-around score of 39.300, tying for the 19th-best mark in program history.

In addition to Boris's all-around victory, Kyrie Lowe from Lake Worth, Florida, participated in all four events and scored 38.200 points.

Western Michigan dominated the vault event by taking the top four places before Brushwood and Boris tied for fifth place with scores of 9.800 each—Brushwood's second-best career score.

On bars, Chemotti and Analiah Solorio both scored 9.800 to secure fourth place finishes. Solorio matched her career high while Keeley Kohler achieved a personal best with a score of 9.775.

The team showed strength on beam with a score of 49.200—their highest in any event this season and eighth-best in program history—with Chemotti leading at 9.900.

Brushwood won the floor competition with a career-high score of 9.900 as she secured back-to-back victories after scoring a then-career-high at Central Michigan earlier this month.

The Eagles will next compete against UC Davis and San Jose State University on March 7 in California before facing Sacramento State University on March 9.
