The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's basketball team is set to host Miami University on Wednesday, February 26, at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti. This game marks EMU's penultimate home game of the season. The Eagles, with a record of 2-23 and 1-13 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), recently broke an 18-game losing streak with a victory over Northern Illinois University.

Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh secured her first road and conference wins with the team's recent success. "The win halted an 18-game losing streak for the Eagles," reads part of a statement from EMUEagles.com.

Eastern Michigan aims to achieve consecutive victories for the first time this season against Miami, who holds a record of 16-9 overall and 8-6 in MAC play. Miami's Enjulina Gonzalez leads their offense with an average of 17 points per game.

Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+ or listen via WEMU (89.1 FM). Live stats will be available online, and updates will be posted on EMU's official X account (@EMUWBB).

In their last meeting, Miami defeated EMU 68-45. Despite holding an early lead, EMU was unable to maintain it as Miami took control in the second quarter.

Key players for EMU include Sisi Eleko and Olivia Smith. Eleko is close to achieving her MAC-leading 13th double-double of the season and ranks highly nationally in several statistical categories. Smith recently joined EMU's all-time top 50 scoring list.

After facing Miami, Eastern Michigan will travel to Buffalo for one of its final two road games of the season on March 1.
