Eastern Michigan University's men's basketball senior guard, Jalen Terry, has been recognized as the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week by the United States Basketball Writers Association. The announcement was made on Tuesday, February 18.

Terry's performance over the past week was notable, with an average of 31.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals across two games. In a game against Toledo on February 15, Terry scored a career-high of 38 points along with eight rebounds and two assists. He impressively made his first 12 field goal attempts and finished with a shooting record of 15-of-17 from the field, including six out of seven from three-point range. Terry is among only four players nationwide to achieve at least 38 points and eight rebounds in this calendar year.

His outstanding performance against Toledo followed another strong showing at Ball State on February 11, where he recorded 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists. This achievement marked him as the first Eagle to reach such statistics in Mid-American Conference play since Brandon Bowdry's performance in March 2011.

Additionally, Terry was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week on February 17.

Other players who joined Terry on this week's list include Denver Jones from Auburn, John Tonje from Wisconsin, JT Toppin from Texas Tech, and Corey Washington from Wichita State.

Eastern Michigan is set to host Miami University on Tuesday evening at Bowen Field House.
