Tracy Grollman contributed two goals, marking her first multiple-goal game since February 2024. Avery Schwab provided three assists, tying for the fifth-most in a single game in program history.
The game began with both teams exchanging goals, resulting in a tie at 2-2 early on. However, Notre Dame quickly gained momentum with four consecutive goals before Katheryn Wilson scored to break their streak. The first quarter ended with Notre Dame leading 7-3.
In the second quarter, Notre Dame extended their lead to 9-3 before Blackwell scored again for EMU. By halftime, the Eagles trailed by six points. The third quarter saw Notre Dame furthering their advantage to 14-4 before Grollman and Abby Alderman added goals for EMU. The final quarter concluded with Blackwell scoring once more to bring about the final score of 17-7.
Goalkeeper Maddie Porter made significant contributions with 11 saves during the match and maintained her NCAA-leading ground ball average by collecting five more against Notre Dame.
Looking ahead, Eastern Michigan will embark on a two-game Spring Break road trip to face Presbyterian College and Gardner-Webb University later this month.
