The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has unveiled its Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll for the 2025 season. According to the poll, Eastern Michigan University is anticipated to finish in 10th place during the regular season.
Ball State University leads the predictions with six first-place votes and a total of 95 points. Kent State University follows closely with two first-place votes and 84 points. Miami University and Bowling Green State University are positioned next, with Miami securing two first-place votes and 82 points, while Bowling Green earned one first-place vote and accumulated 74 points.
Western Michigan University, the University of Toledo, and Northern Illinois University occupy positions five through seven, receiving 66, 59, and 39 points respectively. Ohio University is expected to finish eighth with 33 points, just ahead of Central Michigan University's projected ninth-place finish with 32 points.
Eastern Michigan University's Eagles, led by second-year Head Coach Robbie Britt, are predicted to end in tenth place with a total of 23 points. The University of Akron concludes the poll standings with 18 points.
The MAC Tournament will feature the top six teams from the regular season standings. It is scheduled to commence on May 21 in Avon, Ohio. The tournament winner will secure a spot in the NCAA Regional round.
In alignment with regular season expectations, Ball State also tops predictions for winning the MAC Tournament with five votes. Bowling Green and Kent State each received two votes as potential tournament champions, while Miami and Western Michigan garnered one vote apiece.
Eastern Michigan's baseball team begins its season later this week against the Pittsburgh Panthers in a three-game series at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte, Florida.
