The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team faced a challenging overtime loss against Ball State University, concluding the game at 86-84. The match took place on February 11, 2025, at Worthen Arena in Muncie, Indiana. With only three seconds remaining in overtime, Ball State secured their victory with a decisive score.

Eastern Michigan's Jalen Terry contributed significantly to the team's performance with 25 points. Da'Sean Nelson also made an impact by scoring 17 points and achieving a career-high of eight assists along with six rebounds.

The game began with Ball State establishing an early lead of 10-3. Eastern Michigan responded effectively, equalizing the score through a series of plays including a three-pointer by Arne Osojnik. Despite taking the lead briefly, Eastern ended the first half trailing by seven points as Ball State led 40-33.

Statistically, Eastern shot at a rate of 55.9% from the floor while making five out of seventeen attempts from beyond the arc. In comparison, Ball State shot at 51.9% from field goals and achieved seven out of twenty attempts from three-point range.

Nelson's performance marked his progress towards reaching his career milestone of over one thousand points as a Division I player across different institutions including DePaul University.

Jalen Terry's efforts included four successful three-pointers during this match—an achievement he has reached several times throughout this season—and played for forty-four minutes during this intense encounter.

Christian Henry maintained his streak by scoring double digits for twelve consecutive games while also registering three steals during this contest—a feat he has accomplished thrice this season so far.
