The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team is preparing for a meet against Western Michigan on Sunday, February 9, at University Arena in Kalamazoo. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and can be viewed on ESPN+. Fans can also follow the meet through live results available on the EMU gymnastics schedule page.

In their last outing, Eastern Michigan faced Northern Illinois on February 2, where Kyrie Lowe achieved her first career all-around win with a score of 38.850. Raisa Boris and Abby Brushwood led the team with scores of 9.850 on beam and floor, respectively.

Raisa Boris has been recognized as MAC Gymnast of the Week and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week in January. She was also named MAC Gymnast of the Year and Senior Gymnast of the Year for her performance last season.

Eastern Michigan started their season strong with a 4-0 record for the first time since at least 2001, including a narrow victory over Ball State at the Golden Girls Classic. They are currently ranked fifth in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) but have previously overcome similar rankings to achieve success.

Junior Priya Karle contributed to EMU's victories by achieving a career-high score on floor during the Golden Girls Classic. Alana Fisher and Keeley Kohler were highlighted as gymnasts to watch this season.

The upcoming opponent, Western Michigan, ranks fourth in MAC standings with an average score of 194.440. The Broncos lead in vault and bars within the conference while holding second place on floor.

Looking ahead, Eastern Michigan will travel to Central Michigan for another meet scheduled for Friday, February 14.
