The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's basketball team is set to face Georgia State University in the Mid-American Conference/Sun Belt Conference Challenge. The game will take place on Saturday, February 8, at 2 p.m. at the GSU Convocation Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Eagles currently hold a record of 1-20, while the Panthers stand at 11-12.
This matchup marks EMU's participation in the MAC/SBC Challenge, where they have an all-time record of 1-2. Previously, they lost to Texas State and Georgia Southern but secured a win against South Alabama last year.
Key players for EMU include Brooklyn Thrash and Sisi Eleko. Thrash recently achieved her first double-double with EMU by scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds against Miami on February 5. Historically, EMU has faced Georgia State once before, securing a victory during the Donna Murphy Classic in November 2016.
