Brooklyn Thrash's performance was a highlight for the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team, despite their 68-45 loss to Miami University on February 5. Thrash achieved her third career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Eagles (1-20, 0-11 MAC) initially led but could not maintain their advantage against the RedHawks (13-8, 6-5 MAC).

The game began with Eastern Michigan taking an early lead of 11-6, aided by Sisi Eleko's five points and three-pointers from both Thrash and Elena Cabello. However, Miami closed the first quarter with a run that brought them within two points of EMU.

In the second quarter, Miami extended their momentum with a 14-0 run. Despite being held scoreless in early attempts, the Eagles managed to keep close through rebounding efforts. Jada Williams scored after an offensive rebound to break Miami's streak.

Miami dominated the third quarter with a strong start, extending their lead significantly before Olivia Smith and Thrash added points for EMU. The fourth quarter saw a brief resurgence from Eastern Michigan, highlighted by Kyndal Lewis' post move and three-pointers from Olivia Westphal and Dara Capaldi.

Thrash concluded the game as EMU's leader in points and rebounds while also contributing defensively with three steals. Westphal reached a season milestone with her three-pointer tally nearing last year's total.

Despite individual achievements, Eastern Michigan continues to struggle this season, now holding a record of 1-20 overall and winless in conference play. Their next challenge is against Georgia State University in Atlanta on February 8.
