Eastern Michigan faces Miami University as Sisi Eleko leads team's performance

The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's basketball team is set to play against Miami University on Wednesday, February 5th. The game will take place at Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio, and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+ with commentary from Steve Baker and Carol Smith.

Eastern Michigan enters the match with a record of 1-19 overall and 0-10 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), while Miami stands at 12-8 overall and 5-5 in the MAC. EMU's Sisi Eleko continues to lead her team with impressive performances, including securing her league-leading 11th double-double of the season against Toledo. She is averaging 19.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, ranking second and first respectively in the MAC.

Olivia Smith has also been a key player for EMU, scoring a combined total of 30 points over her last two games. The Eagles have maintained a streak of making at least one three-pointer in their last 123 games.

Miami recently defeated Ohio with a significant margin of 72-34, improving their home record to 7-3. Enjulina Gonzalez leads Miami's scoring efforts with an average of 17.2 points per game.

EMU has historical ties with Miami through coaching staff members Sahar Nusseibeh and Ti Fulton, who both previously worked or played for Miami.

Following this game, EMU will travel to Atlanta for the second half of the MAC/SBC Challenge against Georgia State University on February 8th.
