Rep. Tom Kunse appointed vice-chair on key House committee

State Representative Tom Kunse has been appointed to serve as Vice-Chair on the House Communications and Technology Committee. Additionally, he will be a member of the Agriculture, Education and Workforce, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees.

Kunse expressed his enthusiasm for addressing issues that affect everyday citizens across the state. "I’m really looking forward to digging into the issues that matter most to regular people throughout our state," said Kunse, R-Clare. He emphasized the importance of sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, education, and technology by asking rhetorically: "What’s more important than the farmers growing our food, the roads we drive on, the schools our kids attend, or the technology we all use each and every day?"

With over 30 years of experience as an owner of a specialized transportation company, Kunse hopes for bipartisan cooperation in focusing on what benefits workers and families in Michigan.

Kunse is serving his second term after being elected to represent Michigan's 100th House District in 2022. His district encompasses Mecosta, Osceola, and parts of Lake and Clare counties.
