The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) men's basketball team is set to face Davidson College on Saturday, December 28, at the John M. Belk Arena in Davidson, North Carolina. This game marks the final contest for the Eagles in the 2024 calendar year.

The match will be broadcast on ESPN+, and live stats will be available through EMUEagles.com. The game follows EMU's recent victory over Wright State on December 21, where they overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to win 86-82. Senior Da'Sean Nelson was instrumental in this comeback, achieving his first career double-double with a career-high of 27 points and 13 rebounds.

"Eastern Michigan trailed 38-27 through 20 minutes but rallied to upend Wright State," noted the team's performance report. Alongside Nelson, senior Jalen Terry contributed significantly with six three-pointers and a total of 21 points.

This upcoming matchup against Davidson marks only the second time these two teams have met in series history. Their previous encounter saw NBA star Stephen Curry play for Davidson.

The Eagles are notable this season for having four different players score at least 27 points in separate games, a feat unmatched by any other school nationwide. "Eastern Michigan is the only school in the nation to have four different players score 27 points in separate games this season," states their performance overview.

EMU's head coach Stan Heath is currently in his fourth year with a record of 36-67 at EMU and an overall coaching record of 246-274 over his career spanning seventeen years.
