The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's basketball team is set to host Xavier University at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti on Sunday, December 1, at 2 p.m. The Eagles are looking for their first win of the season after a close 72-61 loss to the University of Detroit Mercy. Sisi Eleko led EMU with a career-high 31 points in that game.

Xavier comes into the matchup with a 4-2 record, having recently defeated Youngstown State University 61-43. Meri Kanerva and Loren Christie lead the Musketeers in scoring and rebounding.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with commentary from Ryan Wooley and Reggie Butler. Fans can also listen to the game on WEMU (89.1 FM) or through The Varsity Network app with Tom Helmer providing play-by-play from courtside.

Sisi Eleko is averaging a double-double this season, ranking sixth in NCAA Division I for points per game and second for rebounds per game. Olivia Westphal has been consistent from beyond the arc, leading the MAC with an average of 3.5 three-pointers per game.

Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh is in her first season leading EMU after previously coaching at Canisius College. This marks her debut as a head coach within EMU's program since Suzy Merchant's appointment in 1998.

This meeting between EMU and Xavier will be their second encounter; EMU won their previous match-up last year. Following this home game, EMU will travel to face Notre Dame on December 15.
