Central Michigan University (CMU) has received recognition from Intelligent.com in its 2025 college rankings. The university's online programs have been highlighted as the Best Self-Paced Online College and the Best Online Bachelor's in Mental Health Counseling Degree Program in the nation.

In addition to these top national honors, CMU secured eight placements within the top ten. Kaleb Patrick, interim vice president for Innovation and Online, expressed gratitude for this acknowledgment. "We are honored to be recognized by Intelligent.com for our commitment to providing high-quality, flexible, and accessible online education," he said. Patrick emphasized that the ranking reflects the dedication of faculty and investment in online support services at CMU. He stated, "As we continue to innovate and enhance the online learning experience, we remain focused on supporting our students every step of the way."

Intelligent.com also awarded top 50 recognition to eleven other CMU programs. The evaluation process considered several factors such as academic quality, graduation rates, cost and return on investment, and student resources. Programs were scored on a scale from 0 to 100 using data from sources like the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard, U.S. News & World Report, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
