Former Eastern Michigan University golfers Michael Blair and Cam Kellett participated in the first round of the RBC Canadian Open on Thursday, May 30, at Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Kellett ended the day with a two-under-par 68, tying for 20th place, while Blair finished with an even-par 72, placing him in 95th.

The second round of the tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 31. This year's event includes a strong lineup of 28 Canadian players who aim to continue Canada's recent success following Nick Taylor's victory over Tommy Fleetwood last year.

David Skinns took the lead late on Thursday with a bogey-free eight-under 62. He is one stroke ahead of Sam Burns and Sean O'Hair. Robert MacIntyre follows closely with a score of 64, while Rory McIlroy is four strokes behind at four-under.

Television coverage for Friday's round will be available on the Golf Channel from 3-6 p.m. ET. Saturday's coverage starts on the Golf Channel from 2:30-5:30 p.m. ET and continues on CBS from 5:30-7:30 p.m. ET. The final round on Sunday begins on the Golf Channel from 1:30-2:30 p.m. ET before moving to CBS from 2:30-6:30 p.m. ET.

Blair qualified for the tournament by shooting a two-under 68 during Monday's qualifier at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course). Kellett earned his spot by setting a new course record with a six-under 64 at Tarandowah Golfers Club.
