Former Eastern Michigan University golfers Michael Blair and Cam Kellett participated in the RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf and Country Club but did not make the cut after the second day of play. Kellett ended with a score of two-over 142 (68-74), while Blair finished with 143 (72-71). The cut line was set at even-par.
The tournament saw participation from 28 Canadian players, all striving to build on Nick Taylor's playoff victory over Tommy Fleetwood last year.
Broadcasting of the event continues with coverage on Saturday by the Golf Channel from 2:30-5:30 p.m. ET, followed by CBS from 5:30-7:30 p.m. ET. Sunday's final round will air on the Golf Channel from 1:30-2:30 p.m. ET, before moving to CBS from 2:30-6:30 p.m. ET.
Blair qualified for the tournament by shooting a two-under 68 during Monday's qualifier at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course). Kellett gained his exemption impressively, setting a new course record with a six-under 64 at Tarandowah Golfers Club, which secured his place in Canada's National Open Championship.
