The Mid-American Conference has released the schedule for six Eastern Michigan University (EMU) football games for the 2024 season. These include three home games against Jacksonville State, St. Francis (Pa.), and Buffalo, and three away games at UMass, Washington, and Ohio. The remaining game times will be announced closer to their dates.
Since 2008, EMU has participated in 159 televised games, with 110 of those broadcast on ESPN networks. The team has also been featured in 19 nationally televised games on CBS Sports Network.
EMU's schedule includes five home games within an eight-week period. Notably, the team will conclude its regular season on a Saturday for the first time since 2002, departing from its usual "Black Friday" finale.
Renovations are underway at Rynearson Stadium with plans to remove the track and replace the turf. In recognition of a $1 million donation by NFL player Maxx Crosby and his wife Rachel Crosby, the field will be renamed "Crosby Field."
Season ticket packages offer various benefits including VIP seating and parking privileges. Options range from ultimate fan tickets at $180 to general admission tickets at $108. Exclusive offers are available for faculty, staff, young alumni, and former student-athletes.
EMU begins its season against UMass on August 31st at 3:30 p.m., followed by a game against Washington on September 7th at 3:30 p.m., which will be aired on Big Ten Network. This marks EMU's first matchup with Washington.
The Eagles return home to face Jacksonville State on September 14th at 7 p.m., concluding their non-conference schedule against St. Francis (Pa.) on September 21st at 2 p.m.
Conference play starts with an away game against Kent State on September 28th. EMU then faces Miami and Central Michigan in October before traveling to Akron later that month.
The final stretch includes midweek national television appearances starting November 13th against Ohio, followed by a home game versus Buffalo on November 20th. The regular season wraps up against Western Michigan on November 30th.
The MAC Championship is scheduled for December 7th in Detroit's Ford Field.
Eastern Michigan has achieved significant success recently with six bowl appearances since 2016—a record matched by no other team in the conference during this period.
