CMU trustees set to discuss presidential search updates this week

The Central Michigan University Board of Trustees will convene for committee meetings on Wednesday, September 25, and a formal session on Thursday, September 26, at the Mount Pleasant campus.

Before Thursday’s formal session, the Trustees will visit the College of Education and Human Services to learn about ongoing programs and initiatives. They will tour the Center for Community Counseling and Development, the Center for Excellence in STEM Education, and the Interior Design program’s labs and studios.

During new business in the formal session, Trustees will provide a significant update on the presidential search. Chair Todd Regis will also announce the members of the Board of Trustees nominating committee.

At Thursday’s session, CMU President Bob Davies will report on student, faculty, and staff accomplishments since the last board meeting. Additionally, Davies will present his annual report on progress made over the past year toward his presidential priorities.

Agendas for these meetings are available on the Board of Trustees Agendas and Minutes webpage. The meetings are open to both university community members and the public. They will be held in the President’s Conference Room in Bovee University Center with seating for up to 25 individuals in an adjoining room. All meetings can also be viewed via live stream.

According to Board of Trustees Bylaws, individuals wishing to address the board during public comment must submit a request before the formal session using one of two methods:
