Central Michigan University (CMU) has introduced Career Central, a new platform powered by 12twenty, to assist students in their job search. Launched in August 2024, the platform connects CMU students with a network of over 19,000 employers.

“Career Central is more than your typical job search site,” said Erica O’Toole, associate director of CMU’s Career Development Center.

The Career Development Center vets every job listed on the platform. Users can access data related to each employer within Career Central.

“Getting to see historical connections and outcomes that current and former CMU students have had with each company is something you can’t get anywhere else,” O’Toole added.

Career Central is available exclusively to current students. The platform aims to enhance the success rate of CMU graduates, with nearly 95% of recent graduates employed, continuing their education, or participating in military or other service.

The platform is accessible on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Additional information about Career Central can be found on its web page.
