There were 14 American Indian students enrolled in Clare County districts in the 2022-23 school year, 12.5% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Data showed that Clare County welcomed 3,933 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.4% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the county districts.

Among the four districts in Clare County, Clare Public Schools recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of eight students.
