August has been quite a month for our membership! In addition to each unit having a probationary member and providing training as much as possible to get them up to speed (Photo 1&2: PFF Wood using the piercing nozzle), we have been running on just about everything. In between all the medical and traumatic emergencies, our crews had a quick knock down on an apartment fire on 8 Mile in early August (Photo 3 Courtesy Scanner of Warren); in the following week our crews went into Eastpointe for a house fire and apartment fire(Photo 4&5 Courtesy Charrette Fire Photography); a few days ago, Station 1 responded to a car fire near 12 Mile and Harper (Photo 6); then we wrapped up the month yesterday with over 60 calls for service. Approximately 35 of those were storm related and all occurred within a few hours. This Local is always ready to help your family!
