#TBT to construction being done on West Michigan Avenue featuring the Capitol Building in the background. The first picture in black and white was taken in 1986.
Compared to the current state of West Michigan Avenue in the second photo, which is shot from about the same location. The same three buildings surrounding Michigan Avenue can be seen in good condition, speaking to the physical conservation of history in downtown Lansing.
