Mid Seeks Nominations for Laker Achievement Awards

Nomination

The Mid Michigan College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the inaugural Laker Achievement Awards, the highest honors presented by the Mid Michigan College Foundation.

“Each recipient selected to receive this honor has made a lasting impact at the College and in their community,” noted Alexa Carey, Director of Alumni Engagement at Mid. “We are seeking individuals who have outstanding professional, philanthropic, or volunteer histories and accomplishments.”

Two types of awards will be presented to honorees at the Laker Achievement Awards Celebration on Saturday, October 15 at the PohlCat in Mt. Pleasant.

  • Outstanding Lakers Awards recognizes up to 10 outstanding Mid Michigan College alumni who have achieved excellence in their profession and/or community service efforts.
  • The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes an alumnus who has made distinguished contributions to their profession and, over the course of a lifetime, brought benefit to their community and honor to the College by embodying the values and spirit of Mid Michigan College.
“We’re excited to begin recognizing Mid alumni for all they have achieved,” noted Carey. “We know they have amazing stories to share that will inspire all of us to continue learning and transforming our communities.”
