Blackhistory 781x500 1200x769

City of Lansing issued the following announcement on Feb 19.

The City of Lansing is proud to celebrate Black History Month with our incredible, diverse workforce. We are spotlighting several of these voices to focus on what Black History Month means to Lansing, our employees, and our residents. We honor our Black employees & residents and encourage everyone to celebrate our diversity together.

"To me, Black History means heritage. It means education. It means pride. For years, the African American race has endured so much yet, we’ve still overcame. Black History Month is a time to celebrate all the remarkable contributions, achievements, and gratifications that African Americans have attained over the years."

-Malcom, City of Lansing Intern
