City of Lansing issued the following announcement on Aug 18.
Mayor Andy Schor today announced the second round of Lansing CARES Small Business Assistance Program awardees including 9 Lansing-based small businesses awarded $100,731.20 in forgivable loans. As announced during Mayor Schor’s State of the City Address, for-profit businesses located in the City of Lansing that have been affected by COVID-19 could apply for easily forgivable loans of $5,000-$50,000 through the Lansing CARES Program. The Lasing CARES program is part of phase three of the Lansing Small Business Recovery Program, which has been providing assistance and funding to small businesses since March 2020.

The initial application period for the Lansing CARES Small Business Assistance Program is currently closed. Applications received by the deadline are still being processed and there may be additional funding and technical assistance opportunities for small business in Fall of 2021.
