Savannah de Bock, a sophomore from Eastern Michigan University, completed the first round of the 2025 NCAA Columbus Regional with a score of 3-over 75. The event is taking place at the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio. De Bock currently shares the 44th position and is the first member of EMU’s women’s golf program to compete in this national event.

De Bock started her round as part of the last group to tee off from the first hole, where she recorded a bogey. She was 3-over through seven holes but managed to make a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole. After a bogey on the ninth, she finished her front nine with a score of 3-over 39. On the back nine, she had five consecutive pars and made another birdie on the 15th hole before finishing her round at 3-over 75.

The overall leader after day one is Ohio State’s Nellie Ong with a score of 6-under 66. Kendall Todd from Arkansas and Isabel Brozena from Xavier are tied for second place at 5-under 67.

In team standings, Ohio State leads with a total score of 9-under 279, followed by Arkansas at 6-under 282 and Louisiana State University at third with a score of 4-under 284. The top five teams after three days will advance to the NCAA Championships.

The second round will begin on Tuesday, May 6. De Bock will tee off from hole No.10 alongside Isabella McCauley from Minnesota and Jillian Cosler from Bradley University.
