On Friday, March 21, former Beal City High School standout Cayden Smith’s current college team, the Central Michigan Chippewas, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The game took place at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.

The Chippewas’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park against Northern Illinois Huskies.
